hi everybody,i had appeared for KPIT on 9th july 2007....it was openhouse
for PVG, SIT,MIT....my status was BE IT....i got selected for KPIT......We
were 470 people and they selected 17....
selection procedure as follows:
1)APTITUDE TEST
35 QUESTIONS CONTANING 2 SECTIONS DURATION 30 MIN ONLY
1>QUANTITATIVE:
profit-loss,%ge,time -work,time n distance,mixtures,ratio,proportion,basic
maths
eg.how many rectangles are there on chess board R.S.Agarwal is
sufficient........ TOTAL 20 QUESTIONS.....
2> ENGLISH:
phrase replacement sentenses..........they were tooo easy......TOTAL 15
QUESTIONS......time management is very imp....
SOLVE ENGLISH SECTION FIRST.......NEGATIVE MARKING WAS THERE.......
-0.25 FOR EACH WRONG ANS....They shortlisted 96 after apti....
2) HR
BE CONFIDENT.....they asked about
- why u moved 4 engineering???
- last semister subjects
- S/W engineering life cycle....
- why IT????( my stream is IT)
- family background.....
- ur skills....(i said C programing , so he asked me " where do u rate
urself in C programming between 1-10 ???")
- technical languages known....
then he told me 2 go 4 techniacal interview....
3) TECHNICAL INTERVIEW
- BASICS OF C....
-ARRAYS
-LOGIC 4 SOME PROBLEM STATEMENTS....
-DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PROCEDURES N FUNCTIONS....
-BASICS OF MIROPROCESSORS.....
THE INTERVIEW WAS VERY GOOD.......THEY SELECTED 17 STUDENTS.....I WAS VERY
HAPPY.....BELIEVE URSELF......
