About the Institute :-
Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management and Technology (LBSIMT) at
Bareilly has been set to develop a new class of managers equipped with
knowledge, skills, and capabilities needed for success in the complex
business environment of the 21st century. The institute aims at
developing a centre of excellence in education, training, research,
and consultancy in the field of business management. The institute
has been established by the Lal Bahadur Shastri Trust for Education
and Research, founded by Mr. Anil Shastri, former Union Minister. The
Institute has academic collaboration with the College of Business
Administration, Ohio University, USA.

Summer Training. The training consists of 6-8 weeks' hand-on
management experience in a major business organisation. The

Eligibility
A Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian or
Foreign University is required for admission. Students in the final
year of a Bachelor's degree programme in 2000 can also apply for
admission. However, such candidates must furnish evidence of minimum
eligibility by October 31, 2000.

The institute
provides hostel accommodation on request for boys and girls selected
for the programme.

Computing :
The Institute has a sophisticated computer centre equipped with
latest versions of hardware & software. All computer Terminals
(ranging from 80486-DX4 to AmP-75 80586 computers) are connected
through LAN to a dedicated powerful Pentium server. Besides this,
the center has number of high speed output devices ranging from Dot
Matrix to Laser quality printers.
Library :
LBSIMT, Bareilly has well stocked, spacious, air-conditioned
library. It consists of books by Indian and foreign authors on
various functional areas of management. Sufficient numbers of copies
of text books on all subjects are available in the library from
where the students can borrow them for study. The library subscribes
to leading Indian and International magazines and journals. A
selection of video films on management topics also forms part of the
library. The library also has reading room facilities for the
students. It remains open from 9.00 a.m to 8.00p.m.
