Institute of Management & Information Science (IMIS) was established
with an initiative and support from some of the leading industrial and
business houses to impart education to students and professionals in
techno-managerial disciplines. The Institute offers a two year full
time Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. Committed to
developing application oriented programme, the institute adopts a
proper blend of imparting specialized knowledge along with problem
solving skills. Its activity centres include Management Education
Centre, Information Technology Centre, Research & Publication Centre,
Training & Consultancy Centre, & Faculty Development Centre

Eligibility
The minimum qualification for admission into this programme is
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with at least 45% marks in
aggregate.
Fee Structure
Course Fee :
The
total fees for this programme is Rs.97,000/- (Rupees Ninety Seven
thousands) only to be paid in four installments as follows :
1st installment : At the time of admission : Rs.37,000/-
2nd installment : on or before 20th October, 2001 : Rs.25,000/-
3rd installment : on or before 20th March 2002 : Rs.20,000/-
4th installment : on or before 20th July 2002 : Rs.15,000/-
The
fees can be paid by cash or by draft in favour of 'Institute of
Management & Information Science' payable at Bhubaneswar.
Hostel Fees :
For Boys :
The total fees
is Rs.14,000/- including the caution money of Rs.350/- which is
refundable. At the time of admission, the students have to pay
Rs.8,000/- and the balance Rs.6,000/- in the second year.
For Girls :
The total fees
is Rs.16,800/- including the caution money of Rs.350/- which is
refundable. At the time of admission, the students have to pay
Rs.9,600/- and the balance Rs.7,200/- in the second year.
Campus and Facilities
Accommodation/Hostel Facilities :
The institute
provides furnished residential accommodation for both girls and
boys. Almost every student from outstation can avail such
accommodation. But in the event of more applicants the preference
will be given to those who come from the outside states. The
residential arrangements are under the direct supervision of the
Superintendent who is assisted by the Asst. Superintendent, to
ensure smooth management. The students are required to abide by the
rules of the hostel and to maintain discipline at all times.

Computing :
Adequate number of computers are available with the institute to
cover the academic & organisational needs. A course equivalent to
the 'O' level curriculum is an obligatory module for every student.
Computer facilities are also kept open for the students even beyond
the academic hours to encourage them in acquiring advanced skills
and knowledge in IT through the Internet. The lab is also equipped
to carry out research & consultancy assignments.
Library :
The library has a rich collection of academic books, reference
manuals, journals, periodicals, etc., and is regularly replenished.
It caters to the entire demand of students, consultants, research
scholars and members of the IMIS Professional Association.
