About the Institute :-
Bhubaneswar Institute of Management and Information Technology (BIMIT),
a unit of Orissa Trust of Technical Education and Training (OTTET) has
been offering a 2 year full-time integrated programme on "MBA-E.Commerce"
under the degree certificate of Utkal University since 1994. The
programme is conducted in collaboration with IBM-Asset International
introduced as Asia's first course deliver of E-Com. The
multi-disciplinary programme is meticulously researched and developed
to include all components of a formal management education along with
empowered benefits of IT. Additionally, BIMIT is an intellectual
community rightly blended with spiritualism, strong traditions, and
exemplary values

Eligibility
Candidates should be B.Sc/B.Com/B.A./B.E. with minimum of 50% (of
aggregate) marks in aggregate provided they meet the qualifications
as specified below
Campus and Facilities
Accommodation/Hostel Facilities :
The Institute
provides hostel facilities to the student by hiring the buildings.
Each student will be provided reasonably furnished room on sharing
basis for facilitating development of understanding and team work.
Annual hostel fee is 10,000/- which is to be paid at the time of
admission for the 1st year and along with course fee in subsequent
years. In addition to annual hostel fee, a boarder has to pay a
security deposit of Rs.5,000/- (refundable) at the time of
admission.

Computing :
The computing facilities include the most modern up-to-date
equipments including the latest PCs. There are currently two
laboratories for use by the students. One lab operates in the LAN
environment while the other facilitates advanced computing which
consists of all the advanced softwares. The latter i.e. the second
laboratory houses activities like computer training and software
development. The computer centre can accommodate 120 students at a
time, with all latest software used in Financial Analysis,
Quantitative Analysis, Computer Graphics, World Processing, Data
Processing, Data Base, Business Simulation and Multimedia. The
computers are also linked with Local Area Network(LAN) and INTERNET
and plans to have International Educational Network (IEN)
facilities. The Institute, by the beginning of the next academic
session will be shifting to its own campus.
Library :
The library is automated having around 5000 books, periodicals on
Management, and Information Technology and other general matters.
It also subscribes to various magazines, journals & newspapers. The
library staff work closely with students and faculty, offering
both individual and group assistance. The library is also a
storehouse of a large number of videotapes covering the course
material drawn from marketing, human resource, production & other
functional areas which engage the students intellectually &
personally in the strategic, administrative & ethical complexities
of business decisions
