About the Institute :

Society of Computer Technology and Research (SCTR) founded the Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT) in 1983 to spearhead cutting edge computer education.  The PICT School of Information Technology and Management (PICT-SITM), as an autonomous institute, is the latest addition to the SCTR Institutes. PICT-SITM focuses on value-added Post-Graduate programs. Its  two-year PGDBM program enables students to understand business concepts leading to overall Enterprise Management. The endeavor is not only to impart skills, techniques, and knowledge on key business areas such as Marketing, Finance, HR, and IT, but also to integrate and interlink these concepts into an enterprise level insight. Eligibility

Graduates or postgraduates of a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate f all years. Those appearing for the final examination in April/June 2004 can also apply; admission of such candidates will be provisional, subject to their meeting all the criteria before November 2004.

 

Fee Structure

Course Fees
 The academic fees for the PGDBM course 2004-2006 per annum are:
 Open Category
 Rs 60000 per annum + Rs 2000 refundable deposit for library and computer lab facilities
 Sponsored Category
 Rs 1,00,000 per annum + Rs 2000 refundable deposit for library and computer lab facilities
 NRI/ Foreign Nationals Category
 $ 5000 per annum + Rs 2000 refundable deposit for library and computer lab facilities

 

Campus and Academic Facilities

Accommodation/Hostel Facilities : Accommodation  will  be  available  for  need-based  women students  in  the  women  hostel  located  within the  campus. The canteen within campus, catering to the various requirements of students and staff. Clean, wholesome food in adequate quantity is served  on  time  and  at  subsidised  rate.

Recreation : Sports and cultural council aims at developing student.s personalities especially from sports & cultural point of view. It provides platform for the student to exhibit their talents in extracurricular activities and helps in developing team spirit.


Catering / Mess : There is a canteen within the campus.

Health and Welfare : Quality medical facilities are available within the campus.

Computing : The School features Linux systems, Windows 2000 and Internet (ISDN 64Kbps) access to each student. We provide one computer per student. Pentium computers with Windows workstation, Microsoft Licensed Software.s,  Oracle,  Sun  Microsystems  and  various  other  essential  tools  provide top-of-the-line-computing capabilities.  LCD  projectors,  scanners,  color  printers  enhance  presentation  capabilities  to  professional requirements.


Library : The central Library has over 10000 books, 300 journals, databases and  an  on-line  Digital  Library  giving  access  to  over  10000  full text  on-line  publications.  Computers  connected  to  the  Digital Library  network  are  available  to  the  students  within  the  campus.
