About the Institute:-
The Institute of Management Education and Research (IMER), an
educational venture of Karnatak Law Society, was started at Belgaum in
1991 with the support from renowned educationist, Dr. P.C Shejwalkar.
Its two Year full time Master of Business Administration Programme,
affiliated to Karnatak University, has been designed to train
candidates in the basic and functional areas of Management, and to
develop initiative, analytical ability, effective communication and a
sense of responsibility among them. The IMER believes that training
the managers is not enough; to train them to think professionally is
more important. In addition, the students undergo "In-plant" training
for a period of 120 days.
SALIENT FEATURES OF THE INSTITUTE:
Ø
The Institute consciously promotes individual creativity amongst its
students by engaging them in a lot of extra-curricular activities to
bring out their inner leadership qualities.
Ø
IMER regularly takes up Market Research and other survey projects on a
commercial basis and students participate avidly in the projects for
data collection and analysis. This helps in giving students the
much-needed exposure to the prevailing business environment.
Ø
The students of IMER are encouraged to take up consultancy or any
other projects on their own to widen to their perspective.
Ø
Dignity of labour, modesty, a can do-attitude and a strong will to
work hard and succeed are the qualities built in the students of IMER.
Ø
The Institute has dedicated faculty, who believe that learning does
not stop when one takes up teaching. The members of the faculty
regularly undergo training at the best B-Schools in India and
implement new methods into their teaching techniques.
Ø
Strong, sensitive and unobtrusive leadership of the Director, mature
faculty and supportive staff have led to an atmosphere conductive to
development of leadership skills and a strong sense of values in our
students.
The recent issue of "Business World" ranks the KLS Institute of
Management Education and Research amongst the top 100 B-Schools in
