About the Institute :-
The Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration (AIHA) is supported by
the Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation, a non-profit
organization. Located on 30 acre campus of Apollo Hospitals in
Hyderabad, the institute is affiliated to the Osmania University.
Inaugurated in 1994, it started its Masters programme in Hospital
Management (MHM) to prepare a dynamic generation of qualified managers
and administrators for the efficient management of hospitals in India
and abroad. The students are exposed to various aspects of management
theory and functions with emphasis on practical inputs to train them
for immediate managerial assignments in the hospitals.

Eligibility
The aspirants
of Master's Programme in Hospital Management should possess a
Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university
with a minimum of 50% marks, relaxable by 5% in respect of SC/ST
candidates.
The selection is based on the aggregate of marks secured in entrance
examination, group discussion and personal interviews conducted by
Osmania University. Qualifying mark in the entrance examination is
36%, relaxable by 5% in respect of SC/ST candidates. Only qualified
candidates in written examination will be called for group
discussion and personal interview.
The entrance test paper is set for 200 marks, consisting of
questions under sections (A) Test of reasoning, (B) Numerical
ability, (C) English comprehension and usage, (D) Health and
hospital knowledge, (E0 Business knowledge
Fee Structure
The total programme cost is Rs.80,000. This includes admission
fee, tuition fee, case material, library facilities, computer
facilities, visits to the hospitals etc

The Computer
Center is equipped with Celeron nodes and a Pentium III Server. All
the systems in the institute, are connected to a local area network
that permits sharing of resources such as Printers as well the
Internet. These facilities are offered with a view of provide
knowledge on concepts of Hospital Information System and Computer
Applications in business and hospital management, and to provide
hands-on training on packages relevant to hospitals. Students are
encouraged to use the information available in the world wide web
for the purpose of academic assignments. Students use this
infrastructure for all their presentations and report generation.
Library :
The
Institute library is well equipped with a wide range of latest books
on business administration, hospital management and allied subjects.
The library also subscribes to a number of foreign and Indian
journals, specifically on health care marketing, hospital
administration and general management. At present, there are about
1130 titles with 1689 volumes of textbooks. Selected books are being
added periodically to keep it up to date. Comfortable arrangements
are provided to enable students to read and refer books,
periodicals, journals, and economic dailies. In addition to the
above, the library has become a treasure trove of Dissertation
works, Hospital Study Tour and Know Your Hospital (KYH) reports that
have been generated by the previous five batches of MHM students
