NIIST is a self financing Technical Institution established in Nov 2000 with the approval of AICTE in concurrence with the Govt.of M.P and RGPV, Bhopal with total support from the Taramathi Education Society (TES), and the industries of India & abroad.NIIST is the dream project of Mr.D Subodh Singh who is the chairman of the society, a highly qualified personality with engineering and MBA degrees from US. NIIST is located 450 meters inside from the Raisen Road (N.H-86) and about 12 Kms from Habibganj Railway station, 14 Kms from Main Railway station and around 22 Kms from the Airport.Campus is spread over an area of 8 acre ample space for education, sport & cultural activities.
